Privacy Policy

Overview

Email Agent Connector is a personal-use application operated locally by the Google account holder. It accesses Google user data only after the user grants OAuth permission and requests an email-related action.

Google user data accessed

The application can access the following Gmail data:

• Message and thread metadata, headers, snippets, and selected bodies.
• Labels and attachment metadata.
• Draft content created or selected by the user.
• Message identifiers needed for archive, label, send, Trash, and restore actions.

How data is used

Data is used only to provide the user-facing function requested by the operator, such as finding messages, summarizing selected correspondence, preparing drafts, changing labels, or performing a reviewed mailbox action.

Disclosure to the AI service

Selected Gmail data and tool results may be transmitted to GitHub Copilot's hosted service when necessary to fulfill the operator's prompt. This transfer is initiated by the operator's use of the AI assistant and is subject to the operator's GitHub Copilot agreement, privacy settings, and applicable GitHub policies.

Storage and retention

• Gmail message content is not stored in an application database.
• OAuth refresh credentials are stored locally in Windows Credential Manager.
• OAuth client configuration is stored locally in the operator's application-data directory.
• Short-lived access tokens exist only in process memory.
• Any retention by GitHub Copilot is governed by the operator's Copilot plan and settings.

Sharing and sale

The application does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or disclose it to data brokers. Data is transferred only as described above to provide the user-requested AI-assisted email functionality, or when required by law.

Security and user control

Access is limited to the OAuth scopes required for the application's features. The operator can revoke access through the application, remove the connector, or revoke the grant from Google Account security settings.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including its Limited Use requirements.
